The Holiday Spirit

Donor groups were busy again this year at Riverside Community
Schools. The heavy snow and snow days did not interfere with
helping families in need. The donor groups this year came through
with many gifts for the children in twelve different families; this
means twenty-four children will have some packages under their
tree.
The student groups are all smiles when they bring in their packages and some even provided some Feliz Navidad inspiration. One very special donor group also helped with milk money for students here at the school and they also provided some wonderful snow outfits for two students to use here at school. A special thank you goes to the following donor groups, RHS Senior Class, RHS FCCLA, the Presbyterian Church of Carson, the Methodist Church of Carson, The Shoebox Angels, and the Knights of Pythias.
The elementary students attended “Santa Buddies” at the Dreamland Theater. The movie’s message was about the “spirit of Christmas” and keeping hope alive. We all appreciate so much the efforts of these fine donor groups.
