Students Participate in Essay Contest

In honor of Veterans Day and for the dedication of the Eagle Monument in Macedonia, the Macedonia Eagle Monument Committee asked all middle school and high school students to write an essay about what freedom means to them.  There were two divisions: 7-8^th grade and 9-12^th grade.  In the 7-8^th grade division, the winner was Lindsey White and the runner up was Max Farver.  In the 9-12^th grade division, the winner was Samantha Keast and the runner-up was Anna Hildebrand.  Winners received a cash prize.
