Eighth Graders Learn CPR

As part of the physical education curriculum the 8th grade PE classes participate in a unit on CPR. Students learn the skills of properly performing CPR on an adult. They also learn how to use an AED and the proper way to deal with a victim that is choking. The students must demonstrate these skills for an instructor and then also take a written test. We would like to thank Veva Larson and the volunteers from the Carson Fire Department; Jeff Martens, Carla Jarmin and Joey Elder for assisting in the instruction. CPR instructors for the course were Vicki Palmer and Linda Wax.
