Riverside Student's Artwork selected for Governor's Art Show

On Wednesday, April 4, 2012, the art teacher Haley Nikkel and four 6th grade students, Jami Carter, Jaycee Kallsen, Elayna Eggers, and Devyn Moore, headed to Des Moines to the State Capital Building. They got to enjoy this experience because Jami Carter’s artwork had been chosen as one out of fifteen artworks to be in the Governor’s Art Show. The day started off with a tour of the capital and learning all about our state’s history. They then got to meet the governor, and Jami received her award.
