Riverside Staff Changes

The end of the school year brought many changes to the staff at Riverside. We had several staff members retire or leave. Teachers who retired are Mary Stempel and Colleen Wilber. Staff who retired are Bev Cain, Bob Henning, Deb Kester, and Cyndy Haines. Teachers leaving our school district for other jobs are Brandie Andersen, Jennifer Hardee, Hillary Gingerich, Jodie Hogue, Haley Nikkel, Lindsey Delavan, and Jordan Edgerly. Suzanne Johnk-Pierce is also leaving us after 15 years.
New teachers that have been hired for next school year are Joni Gordan (3rd Grade), Charissa Henry (1st Grade), Alison Neal (soon to be Henry) (1st Grade), Crystal Davis (High School Math), Kristina Sturm (High School English), Kim Piro (K-12 Art), and Mitch Rice (High School PE, Health, weight room and football coach). The new secretary at the high school is Leslie Pilling. Other changes in teaching positions include Kayla Vanderhorst moving to second grade, Pete Langenhan moving to third grade, Michelle Griffen moving to fourth grade and Burke Swenson moving to elementary PE and Computers. No decisions on Preschool or Library have been made at this time.
