Riverside Athletes Earn Honors

Riverside Athletic Honors

September 22nd, 2017

At the Homecoming football game on Friday, September 22nd, Joel Henningsen earned he Safeco Player of the Game honor (sponsored by Hummel Insurance).  Below, Joel is pictured with Craig Hummel.

 For the year, Joel is 2nd on the team in total tackles with 42, and is a great leader!  

Way to go Joel!

Riverside Athletes Earn Player of the Game and All Tournament Team Honors

September 9th, 2017

At the home football game on Friday, September 8th, the Bulldogs battled a tough Griswold team, and Mick Clevenger earned the Safeco Player of the Game honor (sponsored by Hummel Insurance). Mick currently leads the team in tackles!

On Saturday, September 10th, the Lady Dawgs volleyball team traveled to Griswold for a varsity tournament.  At the tournament, Devyn Moore and Jadyn Achenbach were selected to the All Tournament Team.

Riverside Athlete Named KMA's Jenny Ed. Sports Med Player of the Night!

September 1st, 2017

In a very exciting game on Friday, September 1st at Tri-Center, the Riverside football team got a win in a very tough fought game!  Valentin Andrusyshyn lead the Bulldogs in passing and rushing, earning himself KMA Radio's "Player of the Night" award.  Link to the article can be found here.

Riverside Athletes Earn Player of the Game and All Tournament Team Honors

August 28th, 2017

Last week began a very busy fall season full of activities for students.  At the first home football game in the new facility, the Bulldogs battled a tough West Manona team, and Hunter Hodges earned the Safeco Player of the Game honor (sponsored by Hummel Insurance).  His stats included 9.5 tackles, 3 receptions for 170 yards, and 2 touchdowns.  

Way to go, Hunter!

 

Also earning an honor this week was Devyn Moore.  The volleyball team went 2-2 on Saturday at the Avoca Tournament with wins against CAM and Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson.  Devyn was selected to the All Tournament team and had stats that included 11 kills, 7 aces, and 21 digs.  

Way to go, Devyn!
