Top Dawgs

by Holly Garcia

May 11, 2017

At the Junior-Senior High School, we are highlighting students who positively contribute to the school by being respectful and responsible leaders. Each month, the staff will choose three "Top Dawgs" and the students chosen for the month of May are Chole Castaneda-Houser, Taten Williams, and MaKenna Rose!

Chole, Taten, and MaKenna were nominated by their teachers. This is what teachers say about these Top Dawgs:‚Äč

Chole is a hard worker. She is prepared for class, is positive, and is always willing to contribute. It has been a pleasure to have her in class.

Chole is a highly responsible, confident, and academically gifted student who will easily attain her goals in her chosen career and in life; she is also willing to help others in her class with either the material or other school-related issues.

Chole has been a great addition to FCCLA this year. She participated in the Life Planning STAR Event this year and received a gold medal at district conference and a silver medal at State conference. She is an extremely hard worker and a pleasure to have in class

I have enjoyed having Taten in class. He is a methodical person and always makes sure that he is doing the assignment to his utmost ability.

Taten is a great role model for younger kids.

Taten is a leader in the classroom.  He works well with others and is always willing to help out.

MaKenna is a quiet positive leader for her peers.  She is very kind and is considerate of others.

Makenna always works hard both in the classroom and athletic field.

MaKenna is very polite, respectful, hardworking, and extremely friendly to everyone.

Each month the Top Dawgs will be rewarded with:

  • Preferred parking all month
  • Being first in the lunch line all month
  • 2% Extra Credit in a class
  • $1.00 a la carte ticket

Congratulations to our Top Dawgs! We look forward to highlighting more great students next year!
