Bulldog Pride at the Jr./Sr. High
Since the beginning of the school year, all students at Riverside Jr./Sr. High have been doing “Bulldog Pride” activities in Advisory. These activities are planned by a committee of teachers who went to Character Counts training this summer. We will start emailing home these activity topics each Friday, so the conversations can continue. We encourage you to ask your student about the activity and discuss why it’s important to display good character.
We have six pillars of good character that are the focus of Advisory lessons: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. Additionally, we have already had three guest speakers come to speak to students about the importance of good character. A poster of these pillars of Character can be seen in each classroom.
