School Performance Profile

Riverside Community School District earned strong ratings in the 2024-25 Iowa School Performance Profiles, with Riverside Middle/Senior High School designated as “Commendable.”

The school reported a postsecondary readiness score of 97 percent for work-based learning, more than double the state average of 45 percent. Riverside also achieved 93 percent in college credit, compared to the state average of 70 percent, reflecting the number of students enrolling in college-level courses.

“We’re extremely proud of our students’ success in postsecondary readiness,” said Dr. Stephanie Anderson, Superintendent. “It highlights the strength of our partnerships and the support of our community. These results demonstrate that Riverside students are leaving high school with the skills and experiences they need to succeed in life.”

District leaders credit the school’s overall success to a positive learning environment, dedicated staff, improvements in special education, expanded access to college courses, and strong community support.

The Iowa Department of Education releases the School Performance Profiles annually to evaluate public schools statewide. The initiative was launched in 2018 to fulfill state and federal requirements by providing report cards that reflect the performance of all public schools.
