Riverside School District to Host Registration for the 2020-2021 School Year

Riverside School District will host School Registration for the 2020-2021 school year on Monday August 10, 2020 at the Riverside Middle/High School Building at 18997 Hwy 59, Oakland, IA. We will be open from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM. We will utilize the Commons Area with staff socially distanced. 

You can also contact each building to complete the registration process and we can accommodate those people who can not or do not feel comfortable attending on August 10, 2020.

 General COVID-19 Virus mitigation techniques for the Registration Day: 

  •  If you currently have any COVID-19 Symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis in the last 14 days--Do Not Enter the Building.

  •  Self-Monitor your temperature--If it is 100.3 or higher--Do Not Enter the Building.

  • You are encouraged to bring hand sanitizer (it will also be available for your use) and disinfect hands on a regular basis-Excessive Hand Washing/Sanitizing encouraged

  • Cover any coughs or sneezes

  • Maintain Social Distancing (Six Feet) at all times with others in the building-We will be limiting the number of people from each family to one in the building the day of registration on August 10, 2020. 

  • You will be required to wear a  face covering. Feel free to bring your own or a face covering will be provided.

Please consider completing your 2020-2021 Iowa Application for Free & Reduced Price School Meals/Milk that is provided in the paper or on our school website prior to the August 10, 2020 registration day.  If you complete it on the website, you will need to print and submit it to one of the three school buildings. The applications can be mailed or dropped off to any office building Monday thru Thursday prior to the start of school.  Applications are accepted at any time during the school year.  The applications can be mailed to the following address:  Riverside Middle/High School; 18997 Hwy 59; Oakland, IA  51560.  Feel free to call ReAnn Hildebrand; Phone: 712-482-6464; rhildebrand@riverside.k12.ia.us for questions or assistance.

We will be limiting the number of people from each family to one in the building the day of registration on August 10, 2020. The lines that have formed in previous years to complete these processes during registration day will not be allowed. Let’s all do our part to keep everyone safe.

Reminder How to Protect Yourself:

  • Wear a cloth face covering

  • The best way to prevent illness is to avoid exposure

  • Wash your hands-use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth

  • Avoid close contact with others-Put distance (6 Feet) between yourself and others

  •  Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others

  • Cover coughs and sneezes

  • Clean and disinfects
