Congratulations to three of our elementary paras receiving this fellowship: Heather Slauter, Michelle Housman, and Michaela Vlcek.
Imagine Iowa is an evidence-informed curriculum designed to support educators and K-12 stakeholders to improve their knowledge, skills, and attitudes about mental health. This curriculum will provide the opportunity to engage with topics such as mental health literacy, immediate crisis response, and advocacy, all of which will create an atmosphere of inclusion and wellness in classrooms and schools.
Each fellowship will offer $10,000 per paraeducator to districts. The funding is intended to provide school districts with financial support to invest in the development and advancement of paraeducators.
Each year we are required to post a statement containing the proposed total property tax levy of the district for the upcoming budget year along with comparisons to last year. Questions should be directed to Dan Rold, the Riverside SBO, danrold@riverside.k12.ia.us.
We have multiple early outs and no school on Friday this week, so please plan accordingly!
