We’re kicking off our Senior Spotlight series by celebrating the amazing students of the Class of 2025! First up, meet Molly Jacobs!

Meet Senior Camden Hughbanks! 🌟
"Mr. Dorr has helped me understand my talents and the tasks I find fulfilling,” Camden says. “He helped me understand my place in this world…since no other classes have been near as mind-opening as the shop classes I’ve taken."

We’d like to take a moment to recognize Tyler Johannsen, the assistant principal of our Middle/High School! 🌟
Mr. Johannsen also serves as the assistant coach for our football and wrestling teams. We’re grateful to have an AP who is very present in the day-to-day lives of students. Thank you for all the ways you serve our community! 🙏

Don't forget about the STEM festival at the Oakland Community Center tonight!

Attention, families! Monday, April 21 will now be a regular school day instead of the previously scheduled professional development day for staff.
We appreciate your flexibility and look forward to seeing our students in class as usual! 💙 #WeRRiverside

Come cheer on our talented student-athletes and show your support in the stands on April 8! While you're there, help us make a difference by bringing non-perishable food items to Fill the Truck for our local food pantry. See you there! 🏅💙#WeRRiverside

National Library Week is the perfect time to embark on a new literary adventure! 📘✨
We encourage students and families to visit the local library this week. Get more information here: https://eckelslibrary.com. #WeRRiverside

Being present on a daily basis helps children feel better about school—and themselves! 🤗
By maintaining consistent attendance, students have access to the skills and knowledge they need to thrive well into the future. 🚀

Throughout their time in our schools, our students have opportunities to engage in a wide range of STEM-focused experiences—including robotics! This gives them access to technology while developing their communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
We’re proud to highlight these efforts during National Robotics Week! 🤖

Today, we’re recognizing Jamie Meek for her outstanding attendance as K-12 HAL and MTSS Coordinator at Riverside CSD! 🌟
“Jamie is always at school and is running between all three buildings to help students and staff,” said a colleague. “Many nights, she works late into the evening to make sure students are getting the things they need to succeed.”
Thank you, Jamie, for showing up every day—ready to make an impact! 💪

Senior MaeLei Blackburn had this to say about one of her teachers:
"Ever since freshman year, Ms. Long-Birdsall always made me feel included. She was a big reason I got into reading and writing, which are things I never imagined I would like as much as I do." 🌟

We have exciting progress to share on the PRIDE Campaign! 🎉
Thanks to generous donations from local farmers, volunteers, and businesses, we’ve been able to reduce our Phase II fundraising goal from $870,000 to $566,000! Contributions of time, materials, and labor have led to major savings for the district, showing the power of community support.
We’re now working to raise the remaining $220,000 to complete the campaign.
