Teresa Schnack was appointed to our school board at last night's board meeting. We are very happy to have her serving our community.
Teresa has been extensively involved with RCSD in various roles over the years: substitute teacher, former board member and director of Riverside Child Care, cheerleading sponsor, and importantly, a parent.
Teresa says, "As someone who has worked in the field of education for years, I feel my background and skills provide me with a unique position to serve on the Riverside Community School Board. I understand the importance of having educators, parents, and community members working together with the focus being on students and what is best for their success. Even though I recently retired from teaching, being on the Riverside Board will allow me to continue serving in some capacity in the field of education, which is my true passion."

Jackie Moore applied and received the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Grant for the Carson building for the 24-25 school year! The FFVP provides all enrolled children in participating schools with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the school day, outside of meal service times. Great job, Jackie!

Annie Brooke was recently named Southwest Districts Outstanding Young Member by her peers in Ag education. This award is seen "As a means to encourage young teachers to remain in the profession and to encourage and recognize participation in professional activities, the District Outstanding Young Member Awards program was established. The award highlights those who have strove to be an effective teacher in the first part of their teaching career and to reward them for their hard work. IAAE members who have completed at least one year but not more than three years of teaching are eligible to apply for this award."
