Throughout their time in our schools, our students have opportunities to engage in a wide range of STEM-focused experiences—including robotics! This gives them access to technology while developing their communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
We’re proud to highlight these efforts during National Robotics Week! 🤖

We have exciting progress to share on the PRIDE Campaign! 🎉
Thanks to generous donations from local farmers, volunteers, and businesses, we’ve been able to reduce our Phase II fundraising goal from $870,000 to $566,000! Contributions of time, materials, and labor have led to major savings for the district, showing the power of community support.
We’re now working to raise the remaining $220,000 to complete the campaign.

Senior MaeLei Blackburn had this to say about one of her teachers:
"Ever since freshman year, Ms. Long-Birdsall always made me feel included. She was a big reason I got into reading and writing, which are things I never imagined I would like as much as I do." 🌟

Today, we’re recognizing Jamie Meek for her outstanding attendance as K-12 HAL and MTSS Coordinator at Riverside CSD! 🌟
“Jamie is always at school and is running between all three buildings to help students and staff,” said a colleague. “Many nights, she works late into the evening to make sure students are getting the things they need to succeed.”
Thank you, Jamie, for showing up every day—ready to make an impact! 💪

Iowa Select Books donated to Riverside Oakland Elementary School. There is a matching Spanish book for every English book! Doug Bates, an alumni of Oakland schools, nominated our school to get these books. He works for Iowa Select. #WeRRiverside

April 21 will now be a student school day to make up the time we have missed due to weather and cold this winter! Looking forward to seeing our students on this day! #WeRRiverside

Where would we be without our librarians? Lost in a sea of information, no doubt! 📚
As we celebrate National School Librarian Day, let’s applaud the guidance and wisdom they bring to our schools. We appreciate all they do! 🙌 #WeRRiverside

Chemistry students are testing various amounts of dissolved carbon dioxide to determine how it affects the acidity of a solution. This is their first step to understanding why oysters are dying off by the billions in the Pacific Northwest and finding a solution to that problem.

High school students are engaging in the ISASP practice tests to get ready for testing next week. #WeRRiverside

Many thanks to Ms. Ravlin, Miss Daisha, and the 2nd graders for all their help counting, bagging, and hauling the shoes for the drive! 1,543 is our official number for 2025. Nice work to our community!
