During Fire Prevention Week, we’re reminding all families of the importance of having an escape plan in case of a house fire.🧯
Practice the plan with your family at least twice a year. Make sure every family member knows two ways out of each room and how they can get outside as quickly as possible.

Mr. Kroon is always maintaining a positive outlook and brings a great sense of humor everyday. It's almost impossible to catch him in a bad mood and this attitude has rubbed off on me. I feel like I'm a much better person for myself, my family, and my students because of this attitude. I appreciate everything that he brings to the building each day.

All Riverside classified staff engaged in Capturing Kids Hearts: Culture Shapers professional development. #WeRRiverside
Riverside 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders participated in the CDI Poster Contest last year, and these two young ladies are just two of the winners from Riverside Elementary School. The CDI Poster Contest is a national contest organized by the National Association of Conservation Districts. Along with making these posters, the students spent five class periods learning about this year's theme: One Water; covering watersheds, water conservation, and the global water cycle. Our Riverside winners are: 3rd Grade1st: Sidney Reed - 2nd: Aleah Linson - 3rd: Cecilia Ku , 4th Grade: 1st: Casey Kvaal - 2nd: Macli Poland - 3rd: Benjamin Echevarria, and 5th Grade:1st: Peyton Scott - 2nd: Serenity Haver - 3rd: Harrison Rone.

Mr. Johannsen goes above and beyond in every aspect of his work. As a coach, he is dedicated to all student-athletes at Riverside, and he invests in their training to help set them up for success. As a principal, he cares genuinely about his staff. Mr. Johannsen goes above and beyond to make sure staff members feel heard, and he always helps develop solutions to concerns. He is an outstanding administrator, and he definitely is an instrumental part in the positive culture shift that has been happening here at Riverside!

Riverside Volleyball hosts Missouri Valley on Monday the 9th at 7:00 p.m. This is part of the WIC Conference Tournament so no Riverside passes are allowed. The only passes accepted are WIC and Administration passes. This also means that all students, including Riverside, will need to purchase a ticket if they are planning on attending.
