This morning some Riverside staff, parents, and community members became judges for the Iowa High School Speech Association! In case this Saturday didn't work for you there are three more opportunities to get certified: 1) Saturday, September 27th at West Des Moines Valley HS (10am) 2) Saturday, October 4th at East Union HS in Afton (10am) 3) Thursday, October 16th at CB Thomas Jefferson HS (6:30pm)

If the voted Physical Plant & Equipment Levy (PPEL) is approved this November, the district would focus on:

▶️ Making improvements and repairs in line with our 2024 facility study
▶️ Purchasing buses to update and maintain our fleet
▶️ Rotating our Chromebooks for students/ staff to ensure we keep devices up to date
▶️ Adding more interactive panels throughout our schools
▶️ Providing telehealth mental health supports for students
▶️ Reducing our dependence on capital campaigns for needed improvements

Moving forward with a voted PPEL rate of $1.34 would result in an increase of approximately $120.61 per year (or $10.05 per month) on a residential home with an assessed value of $200,000 in our community.

Juniors attended the Atlantic College Fair today! With over 50 college reps and recruiters in attendance, it was the perfect opportunity for them to explore their options, ask questions, and get a glimpse of what the future holds! 🎓✨

We’re proud to celebrate Riverside graduate Kiara Meek from the Class of 2023!

Since graduating, Kiara has completed the 6-week Staff Training Academy for the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution. While pursuing her degree in criminal justice at Peru State, she worked at Tecumseh during both the school year and summer. 🎓

Kiara has been recognized as Staff Member of the Month, selected as a keynote speaker at Staff Training Academy graduations, and awarded a competitive scholarship from Peru State in recognition of her academic and professional excellence.
