Facebook February is Financial Aid Awareness Month! We encourage all students planning to attend college to explore their options. 🎓
The best place to start is by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Even if you don’t think you qualify, you might be surprised at the options available to you!
The Girl's State Wrestling Tournament begins tomorrow at Xtreme Arena in Coralville for Jersey, Hailey, and McKenna! All information, including schedules, tickets, arena policies, brackets, etc. can be found on the IGHSAU's Tournament Central page:
Kindness is the CKH Character Trait that we will focus on during the month of February with students during their weekly CKH lessons.
Why focus on Kindness? Kindness boosts positive emotions. Acts of kindness create neural pathways that enhance feelings of well-being and the natural flow of feel-good endorphins and neurotransmitters. Kindness is self-replicating. When we perform an act of kindness, it is likely to encourage others to act in a similar way. Kindness reduces stress and anxiety. Kindness promotes positive relationships with other people. Anything that helps you to build bonds with other people helps decrease anxiety.

We’re committed to breaking down barriers to mental health care. That’s why we’ve partnered with Hazel to offer bilingual therapy in over 30 languages, ensuring all students at Riverside can connect with a licensed therapist who understands their culture and language.
In therapy, your child will gain essential tools to succeed in school and in life, such as:
✓ Improving communication ✓ Building confidence ✓ Enhancing coping skills ✓ Fostering healthy relationships
All students—regardless of immigration status—can access virtual therapy at no cost to families.
Are you interested in substitute teaching at Riverside? We will pay the fee for the course. Please reach out to Terresa Grobe (tgrobe@riverside.k12.ia.us) for information on how to enroll. #WeRRiverside

🎗️Tonight, we are proud to recognize Coaches vs. Cancer Night, a nationwide initiative in partnership with the American Cancer Society. This program brings coaches, athletes, and communities together in the fight against cancer — a disease that has touched nearly every family in some way.
Through Coaches vs. Cancer, we honor survivors, remember loved ones we’ve lost, and raise awareness and funds to support cancer research, patient services, and hope for a cure.
If you would like to donate to the cause:
