Married to Jon Reed, a fire captain in Lincoln, Nebraska, Ellie is the proud mom to two children: Ella, a high school freshman, and Jacob, who’s in the first grade. Their household also includes three dogs and a Bearded Dragon.
Passionate about the outdoors, the family embraces travel and open-air activities!

🌟Welcome to Riverside, Melanie McQueen! She’s serving as our new middle and high school Spanish teacher this school year.
Rejoining Riverside, Melanie is eagerly reconnecting with her Spanish students and colleagues. She’s the mom to 25-year-old twins, Jayce and Julia. In her free time, she enjoys true crime podcasts, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and games. She also passionately roots for the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs.
