A proud graduate of Carson-Macedonia Schools, Fred’s lifelong dedication to agriculture, veterinary medicine, and his community is truly remarkable. From his early involvement in 4-H, FFA, and student leadership to earning a degree in Animal Science at Iowa State University, Fred's journey has been one of service and impact.
His contributions as a QC food chemist, medical lab technician in Vietnam, and his decades of veterinary work—including earning Iowa’s 2023 Veterinarian of the Year—highlight his unwavering commitment to advancing his field. Now mentoring future veterinarians alongside his wife Geralyn, Fred’s legacy continues to inspire new generations.
